Iron Infusions
The cost for iron infusions are $150 and a Medicare rebate is available for part of the cost.
A blood test confirming anaemia and low ferritin levels means that you could greatly benefit from an iron infusion. The doctor will provide you with a prescription for the iron, to be picked up before your appointment.
The procedure will take approximately 30-45 minutes.
A follow up blood test after about 4-6 weeks will be required.
